BJJ KIDS

Why HOGA Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) is the right choice for your child:

  • BJJ is particularly suitable as a martial art for children as punching and kicking are prohibited
  • Our children's programme is designed to introduce our youngest students to Jiu Jitsu and help them develop agility, flexibility and coordination.
  • Our curriculum includes fun games and interactive exercises that teach basic jiu jitsu moves and beginner techniques
  • By learning self-defence techniques, your child will gain confidence and learn to stand up for themselves and others
  • Your child will become calmer, more focused and disciplined
Our children's programm focuses on learning through play; training with lots of fun and games and a great place to make new friends.

Classes are held on Wednesdays from 5.30pm to 6.15pm and Saturdays from 10.15am to 11am for 4 - 7 year olds and 11am to 12pm for 8 - 12 year olds. All boys and girls from the age of 4 are welcome. Training takes place in classic kimono (Gi), although the first taster sessions can also be completed in normal sportswear.

The programm includes:
  • Fun games and interactive exercises
  • Basic Jiu Jitsu movements, techniques for beginners and advanced students
  • Overview of all positions and situations in Jiu Jitsu
  • Coordination, flexibility, elasticity and movement exercises
  • Simplified explanation of basic value techniques and strategies against bullying.
HOGA is a partner of the Social Department of the City of Zurich and regularly trains with the children of the Viadukt Children's Club, offering anti-bullying programmes and self-defence training based on Brazilian Jiu Jitsu techniques.
